Description

Pyrus Piraster is a sort of pear used for distillation of the Ducat brandy. Ripe fruit is not picked from the tree, but picked from the ground when it falls in its full ripeness. After the controlled distillation, the brandy is aged for at least 5 years in two types of barrels. Therefore, it has mild yellow colour and pleasant aroma. Pirus piraster grants the brandy full taste and a bit of pungency.

Luka quote
Strongly recommended

Wow! Much better than a classic pear brandy made of Williams pear. The mouth is "full" when you taste it, fragrance completely conserved and it is a bit tart. Tart enough!

About the brand - Radulovic

$s
Family distillery Radulovic was founded 1991 in Krusevac, central Serbia. The distillery specialized in distilling quince at the beginning, when quince brandy was not so popular. When they made their quince brandy in barique casks perfect, they felt they can start conquerring raspberry barique brandy. " The biggest challenge for us was to produce barique distillates older than 5 years. This unique brandy production hadn't seen before we made Dukat Raspberry Brandy." "Barrique Quince Brandy Dukat has surprised and intrigued proffesional community and customers likewise as its aging in wooden barrels, against all expectations, gave it distinct amber colour."
